Mariners Deal Winters to Blue Jays for Amaya Thursday, November 27th , 2025 Earlier today, officials from the Seattle Mariners and the Toronto Blue Jays announced that they had finalized negotiations on a trade between the two teams. The deal will send 24-year old minor league RHP Wes Poe and 22-year old minor league RHP Doug Winters to Toronto in exchange for 29-year old RHP José Amaya. Toronto will retain a portion of Amaya's remaining contract. Since coming into the league Amaya has piled up a 3.69 ERA with 33 saves. In 286 games, he has a 40-26 won-lost mark and has fanned 787 batters in 709 innings. |
