Skipper Robinson Is Out in Texas Saturday, January 31st , 2026 Critics and second-guessers of Ron Robinson can rejoice -- his tenure in Texas is over. He was fired as the Rangers manager today. According to one player, who requested anonymity, the decision was long overdue. "I never really agreed with his decisions and I think he's cost us a lot of games with the way he manages," the player said. "I like Ron as a person, but as a manager I don't think he's the right person to run this baseball team." When told of the anonymous comment, Robinson took the high road. "I don't really need to get into a war of words with someone, I have no comment on that. Basically, the front office has made their decision and that's that. No discussion needed," he said. |
