Ugly Incident Ends in 3-Game Suspension
Thursday, March 19th , 2026
Ken Frazier of the Blue Jays has been suspended by the league commissioner's office for 3 games for his animated argument with a home plate umpire in yesterday's contest with the New York Yankees at Spring Ballpark. In the heated confrontation the Toronto second baseman pointed to where the ball was and repeatedly pointed his finger in the ump's face and apparently made some contact. That's when he got ejected.
Reached for comment on the suspension, Frazier said, "I guess I'll have to learn how to not talk with my hands. They are a dangerous weapon according to the umpires."
