Townsend Cracks 5 Hits Tuesday, April 21st , 2026 Today at Citi Field, the Minnesota Twins fell to the New York Mets despite a splendid performance by left fielder Andy Townsend. Townsend had an exceptional day at the plate, tagging Mets pitching for 5 base hits, but it was not enough for Minnesota to come away with the win. New York whipped Minnesota by a score of 11-6. Andy Townsend singled in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off P.J. Burton in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jim Allen in the 9th.
