Benny Brown Captures NL Award Monday, May 11th , 2026 San Francisco fans have something to crow about today as San Francisco catcher Benny Brown nabbed the National League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Brown. He posted a .500 average (8-for-16) this past week with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 6 runs scored. Brown is currently batting .220 with 5 home runs, 11 runs scored and 14 RBIs. His OBP is .250. |
