Big Bat Pays Off, Moon Player of the Week Monday, May 25th , 2026 Kansas City fans have something to crow about today as Kansas City first baseman Dave Moon nabbed the American League Player of the Week Award for his performance over the last seven days. "I know there are times when it's hard to lay off pitches. Everyone goes through stretches when he's too eager to put the ball in play. You know, though, I feel like this past week I was able to get in the right frame of mind and just let things come naturally," said Moon. He posted a .474 average (9-for-19) this past week with 3 home runs, 8 RBIs, and 5 runs scored. Moon is hitting .268 so far this season with 23 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 34 hits including 6 home runs, 9 walks and .317 OBP. |
