Arizona-Oakland Brawl, Silva and Petersen Suspended Wednesday, June 17th , 2026 José Silva of the Arizona Diamondbacks and Bob Petersen of the Oakland Athletics will be on the sidelines for a few days. They have been suspended for 4 and 9 games respectively by the league office for causing the bench-emptying free-for-all at the recent Diamondbacks-Athletics game at Chase Field. Neither player had any comment about the suspensions. Both clubs told BNN Silva and Petersen will begin serving them soon. This season, Silva has hit 13 home runs and posted a .333 batting average. In 30 relief appearances in 2026, Petersen has nailed down the victory 1 times for his club. In 18.2 innings he has fanned 18 batters and walked 9. His won-lost record is 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA. |
