St. Louis Loses Álvarez, Out 9 Months Thursday, July 9th , 2026 "Not what I wanted to hear," said St. Louis's Juan Álvarez to reporters this afternoon, as he revealed that the injury he sustained on 07/07/2026 would force him to miss the rest of the season. "The doctor made it clear," Álvarez said. "There's no chance for me -- none at all -- to come back this year. That's the last thing I wanted to hear." Álvarez has been out of action since he suffered a torn posterior cruciate ligament. So far this year, Álvarez is batting .258 with 4 home runs. |
