Escobar Silences Pittsburgh, 2-0 Wednesday, July 29th , 2026 Pancho Escobar kept the Pittsburgh Pirates hitters from doing much damage at PNC Park. Pittsburgh could only muster 5 hits and draw 5 walks against the right-handed Escobar, who controlled them throughout the game. Arizona won the contest, 2-0. Escobar added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort. "I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," Escobar told reporters after the shutout win.
