Red Sox-Cubs Swap: Pérez for Hopper Thursday, July 30th , 2026 It is being reported in Chicago that the Cubs and the Boston Red Sox have agreed on a trade. According to anonymous sources 28-year old 1B Dave Hopper will be dealt to the Red Sox in return for 23-year old minor league CF Ron Lindsey, 25-year old minor league RF Tim Myers, and 24-year old minor league RHP Héctor Pérez. For the season, Hopper has produced 102 hits in 378 at-bats for a .270 average with 10 home runs and gotten on base at a .351 clip. |
