Oakland-Chicago Trade: Owens for Hernández Friday, July 31st , 2026 Acknowledging that it may not be the biggest splash, the Athletics announced today that they have acquired 25-year old RHP Héctor Hernández from the Chicago White Sox in exchange for 23-year old minor league 2B Max Owens and $1 in cash. "Every little bit helps," announced the Athletics, "this deal should improve both squads." Hernández has made 15 starts this season, posting 3 wins and 10 losses. Opposing clubs are batting .256 against him and he has 87 strikeouts in 92.2 innings with a 4.18 ERA. |
