Marlins-Yankees Trade: Rodríguez for Caines Friday, July 31st , 2026 Trade winds have been blowing through Miami. This time, a deal has materialized between the Marlins and Yankees. According to sources inside the organization, Miami will ship 24-year old minor league 3B Alfredo Rodríguez and 22-year old minor league LHP José Colón to New York for 29-year old RHP Artie Caines. New York will retain a portion of Caines's remaining contract. Up to now Caines has compiled an ERA of 4.83 with a 7-10 mark over 22 starts. He has 100 strikeouts in 119.1 innings and has held opponents to a .276 batting average. |
