Trevino and Moss Swapped Friday, July 31st , 2026 You can't always get what you want, but sometimes you find a deal anyway. The Baseball News Network is reporting that Oakland and Los Angeles have made a swap with 26-year old C Jorge Trevino being shipped to the Angels and in return the Athletics would get 23-year old minor league RHP Leon Moss. Oakland general manager Patrick Garde said the two sides were close to a blockbuster trade before agreeing upon a smaller scale transaction. "This is just a bit of housekeeping compared to what we wanted to do," he said. "I won't name names, but the potential deal we were close to making would have certainly grabbed some headlines." A source inside the Oakland organization said the two sides might not be done dealing, and another transaction could be in the works. Thus far this year, Trevino is batting .163 with no home runs, 14 RBIs and 11 runs scored. |
