Almirón Hurt, Listed DTD by Phillies Wednesday, August 19th , 2026 Philadelphia team officials speculated whether star second baseman Ernesto Almirón would be scratched from today's ballgame after he suffered a mild calf strain in yesterday's matchup with the Miami Marlins. Almirón denied reports that he would miss a lot of time, but added that he would not risk further injury by playing. So far this season, Almirón is hitting .271 with 26 home runs. |
