Injury Setback for Phillies Almirón Tuesday, August 25th , 2026 After being examined by team doctors yesterday, Phillies second baseman Ernesto Almirón was told that his rehabilitation time would be increased to one week because he still had some pain and soreness. The medical staff did not want to activate him until he is totally healthy. Almirón is recovering from a mild calf strain. Almirón has a .276 average and a .354 on-base percentage for the year. He has picked up 127 hits, 27 home runs and driven in 73 runs. |
