Texas Loses Taylor for Season Thursday, August 27th , 2026 The news was not unexpected, but that didn't make it easier to accept for the Texas Rangers: left fielder Jeff Taylor is out for the year. Taylor suffered a severely strained hip muscle on 08/25/2026. The team knew that the chances of seeing him return were slim to none. But today it was made official.
