Injury Brings Season to End for Fajardo Monday, August 31st , 2026 Jorge Fajardo has to call it a season. The Minnesota Twins closer learned today that the full extent his injury suffered on 08/29/2026 is worse than hoped. He will not play again this year according to club doctors, who diagnosed the injury as ulnar nerve entrapment and stated that he would not be able to play for 3-4 months. The team will likely place Fajardo on the injured list today. For the year, Fajardo has made 62 relief appearances and claimed 42 saves.
