Washington's Machado Injured, Out of Lineup Wednesday, September 2nd , 2026 Manny Machado of the Washington Nationals was injured in today's game against Atlanta and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a torn quad, and he is expected to be out for up to 5 weeks. It happened while Machado was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field." To date this season, Machado is hitting .322 with 7 home runs. |
