Jackson Put in Cooler, Hitless Against Washington Tuesday, September 22nd , 2026 Detroit shortstop Dan Jackson experienced something against the Washington Nationals he hadn't experienced a while: a hitless game. The Nationals pitching corps quieted his hot bat and snapped his streak at 22 games, but his teammates picked up the slack to lead the Tigers to a 4-3 victory at Comerica Tigers Park. "Hey, ain't nothin' bad about a losing a 22-game hitting streak," Jackson joked with reporters after the game. "Now you guys will have to find someone else to bother for stories." So far this year in 135 games, Jackson is hitting .281 with 21 home runs, 76 RBIs and 77 runs scored. |
