Cincinnati Out of Playoff Race Friday, September 25th , 2026 Looking at the bigger picture, Dave Parsons of the Cincinnati Reds said he's excited for what's to come in the years ahead for his squad. But in the present, he said, the club is quite disappointed with the realization today that they are now mathematically out of playoff contention for the 2026 season. This is the club's 7th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 2019. In total, the Reds have missed the playoffs 123 times in their 137-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Reds have only made the playoffs once. Cincinnati last won the World Series in 1990. |
