Nationals Capture National League East Division Saturday, September 26th , 2026 Grown men turned into little boys, some even breaking into tears, in the Washington Nationals clubhouse, after the team clinched the National League East Division. "We can relax a bit, for now anyway," said manager Mark Grudzielanek. "I'm proud of every guy in the room for what we've done this season." The club has a 87-73 record as they head towards the playoffs in search of their 2nd World Series championship. First Baseman Greg Bird said the team is happy to clinch what is the club's 9th division title, but "wouldn't be happy until we're lifting that trophy." |
