White Sox Clinch Wild Card Monday, September 28th , 2026 Those around Major League Baseball may see the Chicago White Sox as underdogs to win the World Series, but the team itself doesn't see it that way. "We're just as good as anyone in the league, whether or not we won the American League Central Division," said closer Steve Peters. "We know what we're capable of." For his part, team manager Morgan Ensberg deflected comments about whether or not he considers his team underdogs in the upcoming playoffs. "One way or another, you've got to go play the games," he said. |
