RubberDucks Tag Sea Dogs with 4-2 Loss
Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Portland Sea Dogs home opener. António González started for the home team against Jorge Pagán for the Akron RubberDucks. The Sea Dogs were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 4-2, Akron. Jorge Pagán, though, was impressive. Pagán got the win, improving to 1-0. He gave up 9 hits and walked 1 over 7.1 innings. He allowed 1 run.

Akron used a clutch at-bat from Ignacio Gonzáles to capture the win. The shortstop hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the fifth inning to put the RubberDucks ahead, 4-0. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.

After the game, Akron manager Keith Johnson applauded the team's effort. "They busted their humps out there," he said.
