Timber Rattlers Snatch Late-Game, 4-3 Win
|
Beloit got a decent performance from pitcher Mike Adams, but it wasn't enough to beat the Wisconsin Timber Rattlers. Wisconsin won the Harry C. Pohlman Field contest, 4-3. Adams threw 7.1 innings allowing 3 runs for the losing team. Walt Austin earned the save for Wisconsin. Wisconsin is now 51-73, Beloit 77-48.
Wisconsin used a timely hit from Tim Burks to get the win. The second baseman stroked a 2-run double in the top of the eighth inning to put the Timber Rattlers ahead, 4-2. It was his only hit in 4 at-bats, but it made an impact.
"We put together a nice win," Burks said.
