The Kane County Cougars defeated the Beloit Snappers, 8-1, in Midwest League action at Philip B. Elfstrom Stadium. Kane County pitcher Mike Terry had a standout performance. Edgardo Herrera locked down his 1st save.

With no one out in the top of the fifth, Jeremy Smith had a chance to do some damage. Beloit was trailing 3-0, but had the bases loaded. Smith came to the plate against Mike Terry, and hit into a double play. But it was not enough to complete a Beloit comeback.

The win has Kane County at 52-77.
