Beloit and Quad Cities duked it out and the Snappers came out victorious.

The Beloit Snappers turned back the Quad Cities River Bandits, 5-4, at Modern Woodmen Park. Dimitri Jolivet, in particular, had a fine performance. He was 3-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Beloit reliever Chris Forrest got the win, raising his record to 1-1. Ben Campbell was tagged with the loss. Eric Beach, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 7th save.

Jolivet had a game-changing double in the top of the ninth. On a first pitch cutter from Ben Campbell, he banged a run-scoring double to right, giving the Snappers a 5-4 lead. It was the 12th double of the year for Jolivet.

After the game, Beloit manager Nelson Liriano applauded the team's effort. "We put some good AB's together," he said.

The win for the Snappers lifted their record to 80-50.
