Blue Jays Hammered by Lara, Drop Game 5 to Mets
FCL designated hitter Rod Lara was the key at Florida Auto Exchange Stadium, as he powered the Mets to victory in a critical Game 5 of the Round 2. The Mets took the 22-3 win over the FCL Blue Jays to seize a 3-2 lead in the best-of-7 series.

With one out in the top of the second, Don Browning barreled up a fastball from Jake Cook. The result was a 3-run home run, putting the Mets in front, 4-0.

"The name of the game is scoring runs," Lara said. "We did a good job of that today."

Game 6 is scheduled for Wednesday at Ensigns Ballpark.
