Mahoning Valley Gets 9-3 Win Against Ironbirds
Héctor Miranda impressed in the 9-3 Mahoning Valley win over Aberdeen. Miranda, who is tied for 2nd in the NYP in triples with 2, went 3 for 4 with 2 doubles and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. Dan Knight was the winner. Over 5 innings, he yielded 2 runs on 6 hits, with 2 walks and 6 strikeouts. The victory gives the Scrappers a record of 8-8.

Dave O'Neill hit a 2-run double off Tony Martínez in the bottom of the fourth, which put the Scrappers in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, O'Neill had 1 single and 1 walk, while going 2 for 4.
