The Erie SeaWolves got a magnificent performance from pitcher Dave Johnson, who muffled the Reading offense en route to a tight, 3-0 SeaWolves win at Jerry Uht Park. Johnson, now 1-1, was the winner. In 5.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 6, walking 2, and allowing no runs. Erie, now 14-6, has played well in the early going.

The SeaWolves got a big at-bat from right fielder Juan Ramírez. For the game, Ramírez was 2 for 3 with 2 doubles. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the third, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 4th double of the season gave Erie a 2-0 lead.
