Washington took on Cincinnati in front of a lively crowd.

The Washington Nationals dealt the Cincinnati Reds a 5-1 loss at Great American Ball Park. Bryce Harper, who finished 3rd in the NL in triples with 8 in 2015, was the star on offense. He went 3-5 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 2. With the win, Washington pushed its record to 26-16.

The Nationals got a big at-bat from first baseman Nick Castellanos. For the game, Castellanos went 1 for 5 with a double. In the top of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 16th double of the season gave Washington a 1-0 lead.

Harper told the Washington News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
