The home crowd had a good time watching the Washington Nationals and Cincinnati Reds get after it.

Cincinnati used a superb performance from starting pitcher Walt Sharpe to down the Washington Nationals, 9-1. With the victory, the Reds upped their record to 23-20.

Cincinnati got a big at-bat from Windy Hills, Kentucky native Mike Lambright, who in the bottom of the first hit a grand slam home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 8-0.

"All in all, I thought Walt pitched a fine game for us tonight," said Cincinnati manager Kevin Cash.
