Danford Helps Reds Run Win Streak to 9
The Cincinnati (AZL) Reds beat the Kansas City (AZL) Royals, 6-3, at Ed Smith Stadium. The Reds got a fine performance from right fielder Kevin Danford, who was 2 for 2 with a home run and a walk. He scored 2 times and drove in 3. Don Dean earned save number 11. The victory gives the Reds a record of 26-12.

With Cincinnati (AZL) leading 2-1 in the bottom of the fourth, Danford hit a curveball from Cris García for a 3-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the Reds ahead, 5-1.

"When you put in the effort and you get really focused, the results come in ways you're not even expecting," said Reds manager Mark Lamm.
