The San Jose Giants picked up a win at San Jose Municipal Stadium, topping the Bakersfield Blaze, 4-3. On the mound for San Jose was right-hander Luis Ortíz. He played a principal role in the triumph. The Giants have an impressive 87-51 record.

Aiden MacAskie helped out the San Jose cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the left fielder went 1-4.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Giants manager Jake Arrieta.
