Morgan Collects CAL Pitching Award

The May Pitcher of the Month has been chosen and the California League award went to Bakersfield hurler, Johnny Morgan.
During the month, Morgan was impressive with a 2.83 ERA and 5 wins and 1 loss. In 35 innings he struck out 43 and gave up 36 hits and 11 walks.
So far this year, Morgan has a 5-2 record with a 3.62 ERA.

Percy Brings Home CAL Batter of Month Honor

It's perhaps an award he'll win many more times through his career, as at age 23 Kevin Percy has a lot of baseball ahead of him.
But for now the young Lancaster JetHawks star can enjoy the numbers he put up in May, which have garnered him the nod as the California League Batter of the Month.
His breakout month featured a .367 average with 5 home runs, 20 RBIs and 30 runs scored.
Percy is hitting .338 in 2026 with 29 RBIs and 8 home runs.
