Getting offensive support from Jim Bruce, the Erie SeaWolves topped the Reading Fightin Phils, 10-6. Bruce was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, a double, and a walk. He scored 3 times and drove in 2 for the SeaWolves. Early on, the SeaWolves, at 15-6, have excelled.

Bruce contributed in the bottom of the fifth. With a runner on 1st, he hit a run-scoring triple. It was one at-bat among others that helped Erie get the win.
