The 3-hit performance of Jerry Richards, who leads the MID in runs scored with 85, helped the Clinton LumberKings beat the Burlington Bees, 9-2. Clinton has run its win streak to 4 straight.

Richards contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Clinton in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Richards took a slider from António Ramírez and stroked the home run to left-center. His 24th home run of the season allowed the LumberKings to leap in front, 2-1.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Burlington manager Danny Valencia.
