TinCaps Get Hard-Earned Win
The game between Fort Wayne and South Bend is in the books, despite a little rain.

The Fort Wayne TinCaps had to overcome a good performance from South Bend pitcher Sergio Acosta to claim a 1-0 win at Stanley Coveleski Regional Stadium. Acosta went 5 innings and allowed no runs. The loss makes South Bend 75-64.

Fort Wayne used the timely hitting of Mauro Cruz to seize the win. The first baseman stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 11th inning to put the TinCaps on top, 1-0. It was his only hit in 2 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"We took home the win," said Cruz. "What's not to like?"
