Twins Pocket 7-6 Win Against Tampa Bay (GCL)
Good production from designated hitter Ben Pittman helped the Minnesota (GCL) Twins topple the Tampa Bay (GCL) Rays, 7-6. Pittman was 2-4 with a home run and a triple, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once for the Twins. The Twins, now 3-1, have played some good baseball in the early going.

With Minnesota (GCL) trailing 4-2 in the bottom of the third, Pittman hit a knuckle curve from Jim Williams for a 3-run home run. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Twins ahead, 5-4.

"Trying isn't good enough in this league," said Pittman. "You've got to get results."
