Miner Hits 2 home runs in Mets Win
The FCL Mets defeated the FCL Astros, 6-2, at Ensigns Ballpark. FCL third baseman Brad Miner had a superb performance. He went 2-3 with 2 home runs and a walk. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Loren Holmes earned the win for FCL. He lasted 8 innings, allowing 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 9. With the win, he raised his record to 4-0. This win makes it 9 in a row for FCL.

Miner had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the eighth. On a full count slider from Orlando Colón, he banged a 3-run home run to left, giving the Mets a 5-2 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Miner.

FCL manager Travis Tartamella was pleased with the team's effort. "It was just a good, gutsy performance by everybody," he said.
