The Houston (GCL) Astros and New York A1 (GCL) Yankees1 delighted fans at George M. Steinbrenner Field.

The New York A1 (GCL) Yankees1 topped the Houston (GCL) Astros, 5-2, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at George M. Steinbrenner Field. The game was highlighted by the performance of New York A1 (GCL) pitcher Bob Goodwin. Greg Vaughan earned his 1st save, after closing out the game.

Rob Fuller hit a 2-run triple off Dan Ochieng in the bottom of the seventh, which put the Yankees1 in front, 3-2. Fuller had 2 singles, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 3 for 4.

"I managed to get ahead of guys and keep them at bay," said Goodwin.

New York A1 (GCL) is now 7-12, while Houston (GCL) is 10-9.
