The Philadelphia (GCL) Phillies picked up a win at Ballpark of Belvedere, knocking off the Houston (GCL) Astros, 5-3. Starting pitcher Bengt Colding was a big reason why. Jorge Salgero sewed up the save, his 1st. Houston (GCL)'s current losing streak is now 5 games.

Philadelphia (GCL) used a well-timed hit by Gil Elam to capture the win. The shortstop socked a 2-run double in the top of the sixth inning to put the Phillies ahead, 5-3. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.

"Bengt had himself a pretty good evening," said Philadelphia (GCL) manager .
