Tigers Suffer 3-1 Loss to FCL
|
Ken Jackson was nothing short of phenomenal for the FCL Phillies. The 21-year-old right-hander was a big reason his team beat the FCL Tigers, 3-1. Jackson got the win, improving to 2-1. He gave up 6 hits and walked 2 over 6.2 innings. He allowed 1 run. Pepe Martínez notched his 4th save of the season.
António Alvarado had a big 2-run double for the Phillies in the bottom of the fourth inning. With FCL leading 1-0 and the bases loaded, he got a fastball from Gil Greenwood and swatted a double to left. It was his 5th double of the season, and more importantly, it put the Phillies ahead, 3-0.
Alvarado called the win a testament to his team's "grit."
The Phillies improved their record to 12-13 with the win over FCL.
