With Ron Reese leading the charge, the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays defeated the New York A1 (GCL) Yankees1, 6-1. Reese was 1 for 4 with a home run and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3 for the Blue Jays. The first-place Blue Jays have a one-game lead in their division.
It could have been a different outcome for Toronto (GCL), had it not been for Phil Allen, the 24-year old third baseman . Allen contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Toronto (GCL) up, 3-0.
