Astros Lose By a Run at FCL
Buddy Sanders propelled his team to victory over the FCL Astros. The final score was 6-5, FCL. The winner was Sanders. He threw 5.2 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Les Jones. Luis González earned the save for FCL, his 2nd.

Stan Ryan had a big 2-run home run for the Nationals in the bottom of the fourth inning. With FCL leading 1-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a sinker from Les Jones and swatted a home run to left. It was his 1st home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Nationals ahead, 3-0.
