Blue Jays Turn Away Yankees, 4-3

The rain came, as predicted, but the FCL Blue Jays and FCL Yankees were able to complete their ballgame.
The FCL Blue Jays beat the FCL Yankees, 4-3. FCL pitcher and Jersey City, New Jersey, native Jake Cook led the way. FCL pitcher José Flores got the win. He's now 1-0. Art Watson was tagged with the loss. Jake Campbell saved it for FCL.
A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the top of the seventh, with the game tied, Walt Schultz was at the plate when FCL scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Blue Jays to go in front, 3-2.
"It was a solid team effort," said Cook after the game.
FCL is now 20-9. FCL is 13-16.
