Blue Jays Lose at Home, 5-3, to Houston (GCL)
The Houston (GCL) Astros topped the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 5-3, with second baseman Pancho Mendoza playing a big role. Mendoza was 2 for 4 with a home run and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 2 runs for the Astros in the win. The Astros, now 22-18, know that wins in August count the same as wins in September.

It could have been a different outcome for Houston (GCL), had it not been for Doug Miller, the 19-year old catcher . Miller contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fourth inning to put Houston (GCL) up, 4-3.

"It's always great to put the barrel on the ball and contribute," said Mendoza.
