In a tightly-contested game between the Minnesota (GCL) Twins and the Baltimore (GCL) Orioles, pitcher Bob Head was outstanding. The Minnesota (GCL) right-hander, who is tied for 6th in the GCL with a 2.93 ERA, propelled his team's 1-0 win. Head got the win, improving to 3-2. He gave up 2 hits and walked 1 over 5.1 innings. He allowed no runs. Chris Arnold was called on to finish, recording his 7th save.

In the bottom of the fifth, Tim Britton delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and a runner on 3rd, the Minnesota (GCL) shortstop hit a run-scoring single, putting the Twins in front, 1-0.

"The key at this level is throwing strike one," said Head. "Successful pitchers do it."

With the win over Baltimore (GCL), the Twins improved to 25-16.
