Good production from left fielder Ed Wright helped the New York N (GCL) Mets topple the Miami (GCL) Marlins, 4-2. Wright was 2 for 3 with a home run, a triple, and a walk, while scoring 2 times and driving in 2 for the Mets. Jeff Arrington picked up the win, improving his season record to 6-0. He struck out 6 in 5.2 innings. Steve Hodge earned the save for New York N (GCL), his 8th.

With New York N (GCL) leading 1-0 in the bottom of the third, Wright hit a knuckle curve from Kevin Norman for a 2-run home run. It was his 6th home run of the season and put the Mets ahead, 3-0.

"We did the things that it takes to win a game," said Wright.
