The Detroit (GCL) Tigers defeated the Houston (GCL) Astros, 5-3, in Gulf Coast Rookie League action at Joker Marchant Stadium. Detroit (GCL) pitcher Donnie Hardy had a standout performance. Detroit (GCL) has now reeled off 6 straight wins.

Detroit (GCL) first baseman Dan Kengor helped the Tigers go up, 4-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning. With the game tied, Kengor hit a run-scoring single off Houston (GCL) pitcher Álex Durán.
