Blue Jays Drop Another One, 9-5
Benefiting from Mike Jackson's productive game, the Pittsburgh (GCL) Pirates downed the Toronto (GCL) Blue Jays, 9-5. Jackson went 3 for 4 with a home run and a double. He scored 2 runs and drove in 3 for the Pirates. José Reyes, the winner, improved to 1-4. He held the Blue Jays to 1 run on 2 hits over 5 innings, while striking out 7 and walking 2. The first-place Blue Jays have lost 5 consecutive games.

Curt Adams hit a run-scoring double off Vince Stanford in the bottom of the third, which put the Pirates in front, 2-1. In addition to the double, Adams had 1 single, while going 2 for 4.

"We had some nice at-bats at the right time," said Pirates manager Kyle Lohse.
