Senators Lose By a Run at Bowie
|
The Bowie Baysox picked up a win at Prince George's Stadium, defeating the Harrisburg Senators, 3-2. Starting pitcher Elvis Casey was an essential part of his team's success. The Senators, at 6-17, have stumbled out of the gate.
The Baysox got a big at-bat from catcher Juan Madrid. For the game, Madrid was 1-3 with a double. In the bottom of the fourth, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 3rd double of the season gave Bowie a 3-2 lead.
In postgame remarks, Madrid applauded his team's "resolve."
